God's design for the family is the ultimate good, and as mortals submit to God's plan for humanity, they will find that His plan is best. The frustration that is frequently expressed in our world, in various ways, is a not-so-silent testimony of the fact that man's way does not work....Godly, manly leadership...is what our world needs, today.
This series of Bible studies will point out principles that ought to be applied in every man's life.

Review
"Pastor Mike Custer has done Christian men, fathers, and pastors a great favor in putting together these Bible studies on Godly Manhood. It thrilled my heart to go through the lessons which, though they are brief and easy to understand, hit the nail on the head concerning what a Godly man should be. I look forward to using this book in my church and teaching through it myself so that I can be challenged and encouraged in my own personal walk."
-- Pastor Gary Webb, Calvary Baptist Church, Carrboro, NC
"I highly recommend the new series of lessons by Pastor Mike Custer, What Does It Mean To Be A Godly Man? The Bible studies directly address a great need in our culture, and provide another tool for churches to encourage and equip godly men. They will also aid in preparing younger men to have a biblical understanding of their place in God's plan. Each of the subjects deal with character qualities necessary to be godly men. Well done!"
-- Pastor Tom Smith, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, St. Clair, MO
"The need for such a Bible Study should be obvious to even a casual observer of the spiritual and moral decline we are seeing in our nation. Anything that can be done to draw men, especially Christian men, back to a Biblical model of real manhood should be joyfully received. In this series of Bible studies, Brother Mike Custer has succinctly presented the right topics in a way that will cause any man to think about his ways and compare them to the scriptures. I wholeheartedly recommend this publication."
-- Robert J. Sargent, Bible Baptist Church, Oak Harbor, WA
"I was glad when Mike Custer asked me to review his current book What Does It Mean to be a Godly Man? First, because I have known Pastor Custer for almost 45 years and in that time, I have noted the constancy of his faith and life. To me, that would make him a qualified author to undertake an attempt to write such a book. Secondly, because I believe such a book is needed. It seems so often today, many people just respond to soundbites, or parrot the beliefs of others. Reading and reasoning will help develop personal understanding and conviction. Good books will help accomplish these. I was pleased with what I found in this book.
Pastor Custer has put thought into choosing topics that are both practical and profitable. Each topic is presented in a simple and practical way. It is then dealt with from biblical parameters and with helpful references. The references are fill-in-the-blank which encourages thought for each one. To further encourage reasoning, he includes a 'thoughts for consideration' section for each topic. This book would be helpful in discipling others and for personal study.
Peter encourages his readers to 'gird up the loins of your mind' with the intended desire for obedience and holiness. What Does It Mean to be a Godly Man? will help the reader to accomplish this goal."
--- Pastor Tom Fryman, Cornerstone Baptist Church, Massillon, OH
