About the Author

Michael Foss is a senior pastor at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Burnsville, Minnesota, a growing Christian community of more than 9,000 disciples. A gifted teacher, preacher, trainer, and author of the books Power Surge and A Servant's Manual, he also shares with leadership at Prince of Peace a great passion for the church at large. His extraordinary leadership has brought renewed vision, significant restructuring, and a new empowerment of staff and lay ministers at Prince of Peace. He consults widely with synods, parachurch organizations, and other denominations.

Terri Elton served at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Burnsville, Minnesota for 15 years. During her years at Prince of Peace, Terri helped develop new visions for ministries, created systems for implementing those visions, and built teams, both staff and lay, for carrying out those visions. For six years, Terri served as the director of Changing Church Forum, an outreach ministry that publishes resources and focuses on developing leaders in other congregations. Terri has an MA in leadership from Luther Seminary; is the author of To Know, To Live, To Grow, a confirmation curriculum; and speaks at interdenominational conferences all over the United States.
