What Do You Say to Someone in an Elevator?

What do you say to someone in an elevator? This book is not just about what to say to someone in an elevator. Rather it is about all of those awkward occasions in which we find ourselves at a loss for words. Wakes, funerals, lineups, parking lots, public transits, taverns, hospitals, waiting rooms, airports, the homeless, the handicapped, professors, clerks, civil servants that aren't so civil, all provide us with the opportunity to reach out and touch somebody in a human, caring way. This book will help you prepare for such situations and learn to enjoy them.

Angus is the seventh son in a family of ten boys, no - no girls, from working class parents (code for poor) who instilled in him principles of social justice. A high school dropout he eventually graduated from Notre Dame, Indiana, worked in the war on poverty in Texas, and served as a Public Participation Officer for a special NATO environmental project in New Brunswick, Canada and has worked extensively with Aboriginal people (Status Indians, Metis and Inuit) across Canada.
