About the Author
Ms. Wincent, a pediatric occupational therapist with over 35 years of supporting children with diverse abilities and identifying barriers to performance, wanted to share the message that every child is valued and deserves be included. From personal experience, raising a son with Down syndrome and two children with sensory processing differences (who were adopted from China), Ms. Wincent has learned that awareness and education lead to acceptance and understanding.
