What should I do One Thing or Two: Asher's Distracted Lesson

Asher's a boy with things to do, but it's hard to pick just one. There are cookies to eat and blocks to build. Everything's just so much fun! But when his family's car gets bumped by a distracted driver, Asher soon learns that trying to do two things at once doesn't work out.

In a gentle story-in-rhyme, Author Em M. Bee (Mark M. Bello) teaches young children a valuable lesson about everyday distractions and how dangerous they might be:

"When you do your school work, you can't also play,

Do one thing at a time-it's better that way.

With two things at once, you'll mess up, it's true,

But not if you concentrate on one thing, then two."

Asher and his school chums learn about things we shouldn't try to do at once, a valuable lesson, not just for children, but for people of all ages. This engaging story will have a positive impact on your young reader, with strong sequencing and cadence, and clear, relevant examples. Your child will easily learn the same lesson as Asher: Doing more than one thing at a time is only be a bad idea; it can be risky and unsafe.

"If you do go somewhere and want to arrive

Don't do two things at once, please! Don't text and drive."
