Founded in 1903 as an offshoot of Dean & Son, Dean's Rag Book Company produced durable cloth books for children, featuring zig-zag cut edges and washable materials, making them ideal for young readers.This work is a picture dictionary for children, containing a visual assortment of everyday objects, including utensils, flowers, fruit, tools, toys, household goods, and furniture.The book is illustrated by Vernon Barrett.Undated, dated circa 1905 via Jacqueline Reid-Walsh's 'Rag Books: Dean and Son'.A delightfully vibrantly illustrated work. In the publisher's original sewn cloth wrappers. Wraps significantly age toned, with mark to tail of rear wrap. Amateur stitches to centre of wraps. Internally, firmly bound.
