What are Vital Signs? teaches children all about the process of having vital signs taken. Colorful illustrations and simple explanations will break the entire process down for young listeners, helping them know what to expect at virtually every turn. A glossary, review questions, and an activity make this an excellent educational tool as well as an engaging exploration of the topic.

The My Medical Process series was created to help children better understand the different experiences they may have while visiting the hospital or other medical settings. The series will teach and prepare children for the medical process with the goal of easing their anxiety, and therefore making them feel more comfortable in an environment that is new to them.

Melissa Fatal is a child life specialist working at a highly rated children's hospital. She is passionate about providing education and support to patients and their families to help enhance their comfortability during their hospital stay.

Rosemary Peng is an emergency department registered nurse who works with both the pediatric and adult population at a highly rated adult and children's hospital. Her goal every shift is to make her patients smile even during difficult times.

Edward Ernest is an artist with a degree in media arts and animation. He has over ten years of experience in children's book illustration, animation, and graphic design. He enjoys creating fun, diverse, compelling characters in every piece of artwork he creates.
