About the Authors

Gabrielle David is a multidisciplinary artist, musician, photographer, digital designer, poet, and writer. David is the publisher of 2Leaf Press and serves as chair of the board of 2Leaf Press Inc. David is co-editor of What Does It Mean to be White in America? and Hey Yo! Yo Soy! 40 Years of Nuyorican Street Poetry, editor of Branches of the Tree of Life, and author of two poetry chapbooks.

Sean Frederick Forbes is director of the Creative Writing Program and assistant professor-in-residence in the Department of English at the University of Connecticut, Storrs. He is coeditor of The Beiging of America and What Does it Mean to be White in America? and is the author of the poetry collection, Providencia. He is also the series editor of 2Leaf Press’s 2LP Explorations in Diversity.
