Wheeling Through a Life of Possibilities: My First Thirty Years of Overcoming Obstacles with the Determination and the Courage to Succeed

Wheeling Through a Life of Possibilities: My First Thirty Years of Overcoming Obstacles with the Determination and the Courage to Succeed chronicles the journey of author Lauren Shipman's first thirty years of living with cerebral palsy (CP). Readers will share her challenges and triumphs and bear witness to how CP never prevented her from living life to the fullest.

Follow along as Lauren transforms from an extremely shy and quiet child to a confident young adult. After a pivotal push to get outside her comfort zone, she did the hard work to discover her true potential, determination, and ability to change.

Lauren's transformation enabled others to see beyond her physical disability. With her positive attitude and resilient spirit, she turned the difficulties of living with a physical disability into triumph. She achieved goals that many deemed impossible-walking across the stage to receive her college diploma and working in the childcare field-just to name a few!

Growing up with cerebral palsy and relying on a power wheelchair to get around was just a normal part of life. Author Lauren Shipman's parents and older siblings never made her feel left out; they pushed her to get out of her comfort zone. Lauren's can-do attitude and "just do it" motto have empowered her to live life to the fullest and seek new and challenging adventures.

Lauren has Bachelor of Arts degree from Neumann University with a minor in psychology. She continues to pursue her dream job in the childcare sector where she hopes to inspire young children to learn, grow, and explore the world around them. Lauren enjoys spending time with family, exercising, giving motivational speeches, and participating in adaptive sports. She is not one to still!

Lauren lives in West Chester, Pennsylvania with her parents. She is the proud aunt of a niece and three nephews.
