Wheels! Format: Board book

There's so much to love about WHEELS! This rollicking book, loosely modeled on the classic, Wheels on the Bus, features cars, trucks, tractors, tricycles, scooters and more. But that's not all! It also models "Dialogic Reading," which is an evidence-based approach to making reading with young children more fun and interactive, shown to build language, literacy and relationship skills. Questions on each page spread provide built-in cues for grown-ups and also encourage children to participate. Wheels! is the fifth in the popular DR Books series, written by a pediatrician and early literacy expert, with vibrant, engaging illustrations.

Dr. John Hutton is a pediatrician and author of numerous award-winning children's books, many with health and parenting themes. His pioneering research involves helping show how home reading practices (as in the DR Books series) and nurturing real-world experiences promote early brain development, early literacy skills and family relationships. He lives with his family in Dallas, TX. Doug Cenko is the illustrator of the DR Books Series and many other children's books. He lives in Chicago with his wife and daughter. There's a good chance that he's currently stuck in traffic. ,
