When Bear, Rabbit and Chipmunk Saved the Wedding

When Bear, Rabbit and Chipmunk Saved the Wedding is the fourth book in the Wordless Books for Young Authors series. Children will delight in this funny, surprising tale, told only in pictures. It is their job to dictate the words for the story to a parent, grandparent, or caregiver who writes down their words.

Jim Chansler captures children’s attention with his entertaining cartooning ability and makes it easy for children to imagine what happens next. Once they finish telling their story and hear it read back to them, children will be exhilarated to realize that they are authors.

Confidence, literacy, early writing skills, and imagination are all byproducts of this fun story. Your child can create a new story each time they pick up this book!

After narrating their story, the smiles from children aged 3 - 9 are contagious. They love hearing, “You are only ___ years old and you are already an author of a book! Let’s read your book together.”

Reading their story with a loved one brings even more joy as children hear, “This page is so clever. How did you know what Bear was thinking?”

Jim Chansler and Lyle Lee Jenkins have partnered on many previous books in the Wordless Books for Young Authors, Bible Patterns for Young Readers, and Aesop Patterns for Young Readers series. Jim Chansler lives in Yuba City, California and Lyle Lee Jenkins lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. Adrienne Gain is the editor of all three series. She lives in Arizona.
