Manitoba artist Nyco Rudolph and Alberta writer Alexander Finbow join creative forces to reveal the myth behind how the benevolent bears came to rule over us all. An illustrated children's book for everyone, featuring beautiful Godzilla and King Kong-inspired paintings of giant bears attacking major Canadian cities and landmarks. Includes Grizzly Bear Colossuses attacking the CN Tower, Spirit Bears surfing the Tsunami into Vancouver, a huge Bearnado ripping into Winnipeg, giant bear cubs playing jump rope with the Mountain Gateway pipeline, Polar Bear Behemoths dropping a glacier onto the oil sands, and the Giant Bears delivering a very Canadian wall to keep the Americans out. At least that's what Granny says really happened.

About the Author
"Alexander Finbow is a Canmore based filmmaker and author, creator of the award winning Loxleys series of original graphic novels, co-writer of The Loxleys and Confederation with Mark Zuehlke and Niigaanwewidam James Sinclair, author of the forthcoming historical-fantasy OGN Blood Light and action comic series 24 Hours in London. Originally from England, Alexander emigrated to Canada in 2009.
Nyco Rudolph - 'I got my start by designing show posters, album covers and merchandise for bands in the local Winnipeg music scene. My portfolio of commission work was growing bigger and bigger, but my mind was overflowing with my own ideas that I wanted to bring to life. I committed to my art full-time spring 2016, with tons of new prints, merchandise and I've got a couple of graphic novels and comics in the works too! I've always created for my own satisfaction and enjoyment, but what really keeps me going is seeing people dig my work. Whether they're walking past my table at a convention and they burst out laughing, or they're liking and sharing my art on my Facebook and Instagram, it means so much as an artist to have people react and respond to what I've created. When I'm not at my drawing desk, I'm on the road bringing my special flavour of art to the Canadian masses: an eclectic mix of propaganda style, anthropomorphic animals, old school 3D and film noir.'

Store description
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
