Margaret Froehlke, RN, BSN is the mother of four adult children, including her 30-year-old son Brennan, who has DS-ASD. Brennan’s birth was the catalyst of Margaret’s life passion, advocating for and supporting individuals with IDD and DS-ASD and their families. Margaret lives in Colorado with her husband Bob and Brennan.
Robin Sattel, MS is a mother, grandmother, author, entrepreneur, and passionate advocate who has devoted her 30+ year career to individuals with IDD and their families. Her son, Tom, entered the world with an extra 21st chromosome 36 years ago. Later, Robin adopted her daughter, Janet Kay, who also had Down syndrome - plus a little something extra - which Robin suspected early on was autism spectrum disorder. Janet Kay’s official DS-ASD diagnosis (at age 10) immediately inspired Robin’s uncompromising devotion to, and love for, the DS-ASD community. Robin lives in Denver, Colorado, where she co-owns A Brighter Community, an enchanting day services program where she has the privilege of hanging out with scores of friends with IDD every single day. Not surprisingly, she reports that her ABC friends are the coolest people on planet earth.
