Startling scientific evidence shows that fertilization is not the final step in creating a new life - despite common tradition - the Bible never refers to fertilization. About the Author
John L. Merritt, MD, is a practicing medical doctor, teacher and researcher. He practices Spinal Cord Medicine in Tampa, FL. He also serves as Professor of Neurology and Medicine at the University of South Florida, College of Medicine. He is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston. He trained in Internal Medicine at Huntington Memorial Hospital, Pasadena, CA and in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and in Spinal Cord Medicine. He has in the past served as a Professor at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, at the University of California, Irvine, at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, at Marquette University, and now at the University of South Florida. He has twice been elected to Best Doctors in America. He is a frequent speaker at local, national and international conferences on medicine, religion, ethics & the environment. He has 5 grown children, three which are also physicians, the oldest being a co-author of this book. John Lawrence Merritt, II, MD is lives in Seattle, Washington, where he does clinical practice, teaching, and research in Biochemical and Clinical Genetics and Biochemical Genetics in Seattle. He is a graduate of Loma Linda University School, School of Medicine, Loma Linda, CA. He completed a residency in pediatrics and clinical medical genetics and a fellowship in clinical biochemical genetics at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He is board certified in Pediatrics, Clinical Medical Genetics, and Clinical Biochemical Genetics. He speaks at national and international conferences with focus on advances in inborn errors in metabolism, newborn screening, and clinical genetics.
