When Midnight Strikes (Paperback or Softback)

A calculated killer. A pile of bodies. A Casanova with a badge. And me, the woman at the center of it all.

Praised for her intellect and ability to stay calm when the world is burning down around her, Quinn Martin is a star in the Eden Falls police dispatch center, and she has never met a challenge she couldn’t defeat—until one call changes everything.

When the brutalized bodies of local women darken the borders of Eden Falls, and the man responsible chooses Quinn as his confessional, she is determined to prove she can help bring the killer to justice. But Quinn soon realizes she may have met her intellectual match. When the killer threatens to reveal a past she is desperate to keep hidden, Quinn must decide how far she will go to catch a killer, even if it means getting caught in his trap.

Trevor Ryan, Eden Falls police officer and proverbial ladies’ man, has spent the past five years hiding the fact that he’s in love with the sassy and wickedly smart Quinn Martin. He’s done a good job of it, too, considering she hates his guts. But when a sadistic woman-killer comes to town and insists on making Quinn part of his game, Trevor finds himself doing double-time to protect his town and the woman who will never be his.

With the body count rising, and the clock ticking down, can Trevor and Quinn outwit the killer before he claims a soul too close to home?
