When Nightmares Come to Town

Twenty years ago, the Banks children disappeared near the frozen shores of Jordan Lake. They left no trace, but whispers of ghostly apparitions have haunted the town of Pittsboro ever since.

Now, beneath the lake’s icy surface, a vengeful spirit stirs. As the past begins to unravel, one person discovers that the supernatural forces at play are far more dangerous than anyone imagined. Trapped between history and magic, they must face the chilling truth: some nightmares never sleep . . . and the dead don’t always stay buried.

In this haunting sequel to The Stranger in the Shadows, ghostly horrors and powerful magic collide. The lake keeps secrets that refuse to stay hidden—and no one is safe from what lurks beneath.

Alan grew up in a blue-collar suburb in the Midwest but now resides on the East Coast. The inspiration for his writing comes from his love of all things horror. As a child he immersed himself in the world of Goosebumps by R.L. Stine and all things Stephen King. He hopes that his writing will one day inspire middle grade readers to inherit a passion for all things spooky.
