When Sadness Comes to Visit (Paperback or Softback)

Sadness is back, again. Oh no!

Does Sadness sometimes follow you around and not go away? Do you want to run away and hide from Sadness? Sadness can sometimes be a constant, unwelcome visitor in our lives.

Gratitude to the rescue! Gratitude knows Sadness isn’t there to make you depressed. Sadness wants to teach you something and Gratitude is there to help.

With former behavioral health specialist and emotional intelligence expert Faith Joy Solum’s inspirational and relatable text, and endearing, expressive illustrations by Ethan Roffler, here is When Sadness Comes to Visit: a touching yet humorous tale about our emotions that reminds us of the extraordinarily transformational power of acceptance, a little gratitude, and listening to our emotions. Perfect for readers young, old, and in between, When Sadness Comes to Visit proves that life’s lessons can come from the most unexpected places.

Amy Nielson, Planning Playtime CEO called it, "A beautiful way to introduce a variety of emotions, give them a name, and improve self-awareness in children.” Hardcover, paperback, and online storybook options provide the perfect children’s book style for every household!

Hi friends! I'm Faith Joy, and I've had a passion for writing from the time I could form words with my pencil. That passion led me to study English literature and writing during college. Ultimately, it was my many years teaching and working as a behavioral health specialist that inspired my children's books on feelings, self-love, compassion, and emotional intelligence. As an emotional intelligence expert, I truly hope my books will inspire all readers to be kind and compassionate with themselves and others.I live in Utah with my husband and five children. We really enjoy hiking, traveling, cooking, books, music, and hanging out together. I also enjoy ultramarathons and endurance events. What do you enjoy? Hopefully reading my books is on the list!
