About the Author

W. C. Heinz was born in 1915. He is the author of What a Time It Was and The Professional, both recently published by Da Capo Press. He also co-wrote MASH, under the pseudonym Richard Hooker. Last year he was inducted into the National Sports Broadcasting and Sportswriting Hall of Fame. He lives in Vermont.
