Caelius attempts to sort out his allegiances through writing in a journal as he awaits an inevitable attack. Through flashbacks, readers see him coming of age, rising to a position of respect, commanding an army, and ultimately wavering on which side to support. The oratorical powers of Cicero, the military triumphs of Pompey the Great, and the ambitions of Caesar are all conveyed. The decadence that led to the fall of Rome comes through, as does the spirit of the times. Orders usually ship within 2 business days. All parcels are sent using Standard Delivery services. UK orders are sent by Royal Mail Second Class which usually takes 3-6 working days. We can now offer First Class Delivery for UK orders received by 12 noon, for same-day dispatch, orders received after 12 noon will be sent the following day, by First Class (Monday-Thursday).
International orders usually take 12-15 working days, but can take up to 45 days due to customs and borders controls.
