Where Do You Go When You're Not With Me (Paperback or Softback)

After morning drop-off, one child begins to wonder where their mom goes and what she could possibly be doing all day.

Maybe she races through the streets in a cape, leads an orchestra with a wand, rides a sparkly snail, or sails the ocean on a jellybean ship.

In this warm, playful rhyming picture book, a familiar goodbye opens into a world of imagination. Behind every wonderfully wild possibility is a reassuring truth: when the child is thinking of their mom, their mom is thinking of them too.

Where Do You Go When You’re Not With Me invites young readers to become curious about the lives of the people who care for them. It helps families talk about what each person’s day is like and how love keeps them connected, even when they’re apart.

It is perfect for children ages 2 to 6 and for families navigating daycare, preschool, workdays, or travel.

The book also includes:

• A personal author’s note about the family experiences and desire for connection that helped shape the story
• Thoughtful questions for families and caregivers to explore together
• An “Our Day Together” activity for adding a photo of a child learning about a parent’s day
