The book explains how, by accessing a conscious theta brain wave (something that normally only happens during dreaming sleep), it is possible to directly work with the off-limits subconscious part of ourselves. The book then explains how we can use the technique of Theta Healing in a precise, step-by-step fashion to work with our subconscious mind to create miraculous instant healings and amazing life changes.
The first part of the book (Introduction and Chapter 1) tells the human story behind the formula for miracles. It beings with how Vianna Stibal discovered the Theta Healing technique when she instantly and completely healed herself of a life-threatening cancer. Vianna was so transformed by this experience that she devoted herself to understanding what had happened so she could teach this technique, now known as Theta Healing, to others. It also explains the story of the author, Brent Phillips, an MIT-trained engineer who experienced a miracle from Theta Healing when his arm (frozen at the elbow for four months after a surgery) instantly healed.

Brent Phillips grew up fascinated by computers and technology and attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he graduated at the top of his class with Phi Beta Kappa honors and received both a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree in Computer Science and Engineering. He was admitted to the PhD program and was pursuing his doctorate at the MIT Laboratory for Computer Science by researching advanced Internet technologies when the Internet hit the mainstream in the mid 1990s. Brent left the MIT PhD program in 1995 to be a founding partner in the Jamison/Gold Interactive Agency, a high-end Web design firm that did many high profile projects for clients including Sony, Nissan Motors, and Disneyland. He also founded video game developer Lyra Studios in 1996, where he was the primary designer, architect, and author of the revolutionary online game Underlight. Both companies grew and prospered under Brent, until his obsessive and driven work habits caught up to him.
The strain of bootstrapping two companies proved to be too much for Brent s body, and after a few years of 100 hour work weeks, Brent was devastated by crippling repetitive stress injuries. He was left in constant pain and unable to work, and doctors gave him no hope of recovery. Over the course of several years he tried all manner of conventional and alternative treatments, including surgery, physical therapy, and energy healers, but nothing worked. He eventually had a surgery that left his right arm completely frozen at the elbow.
That's when Brent tried Theta Healing. Miraculously, his frozen arm healed in an instant! Brent was transformed by this experience - truly a miracle - and dedicated himself to learning the Theta Healing technique and discovering the underlying scientific principles. Brent founded Theta Healing LA in 2004 to allow him to share with others the amazing life-transforming power of Theta Healing.
Today Brent is a full time Theta Healing practitioner and certified instructor who works with clients and students around the world. He uses his background in engineering and science to spread awareness and understanding of how people of all walks of life can use Theta Healing to transform themselves, experience miracles, and improve their lives.
