'In the quiet coastal town of Miagao, where the sea hums softly against the shore and the winds carry the scent of salt and sun, two boys grow up learning that some bonds are meant to last a lifetime.

Ely, the artist who sketches horizons he cannot reach, dreams of worlds beyond their small town. Kaloy, the scholar whose gentleness hides a restless soul, finds comfort in Ely's laughter and the silent promise between them. Together, they chase waves, share secrets, and learn that love can exist even before it has a name.

Years pass. From the tree-lined paths of UP Visayas to the radiant shores near Boracay, their lives drift apart, shaped by ambition, fear, and the quiet ache of things left unsaid. Yet destiny, like the wind, circles back. When Ely and Kaloy meet again by the same sea that once witnessed their youth, they must face what was lost-and what still lingers.

Set against the breathtaking landscapes of Western Visayas, Where the Winds Begin is a tender coming-of-age novel about friendship, identity, and the courage to embrace one's truth.

It is a story of first love and second chances, of leaving only to return, and of how love-like the wind-never truly ends. It only changes direction, carrying with it the memories of where it began.
