"Where in the World? Ancient Empires & More!" Student & Teaching Resource Guide - Book 1 is a companion book to the Student Map Worksheet - Book 2. This workbook is part of the "Where in the World" Geography Series by Amanda Predmore.

This Geography Curriculum is compatible with Classical Conversations 5th Edition Foundations Guide for Cycle 1 Geography. If you are not associated with CC, this geography and history curriculum is a stand-alone piece that does not require the CC curriculum.

- 24 lessons - Each lesson contains the Tid-Bits section that teaches history, culture, and science that is related to the Geography being

learned.

- 2 different styled master maps (see the different "Parts" in the thumbnail pictures above) - "Closer Up" Map and the "Zoom Me In!" Maps.

- Helpful tips on teaching various learning levels.

This book does not include any student map worksheets. The student map worksheet book (Book 2) is sold separately OR as a bundle with this book. In Book 1 the student has a system referred to as "TrueReview." This is a system of review worksheets that cover new and previously learned geography, up to 6 lessons per review time, up to two review times provided each week.

Book 1 includes "Parts 1, 2, 3, & 4" of the "Where in the World? Ancient Empires & More!" book set. Each lesson has six parts that serve the teacher and the student - as detailed here:

INCLUDED: PART 1: Where in the World? A map showing a whole world view that indicates where in the world the new geography is that is being learned about in the lesson. This map is located in the Teaching Resource Guide (Book 1) to be used as a teaching aide as you begin each lesson.

INCLUDED: PART 2: Closer Look! A map showing new geography being learned, alongside geography learned over the last 6 lessons! This map is located in the Teaching Resource Guide (Book 1) to be used as a reference when doing review work.

INCLUDED: PART 3: Zoom me in! A map zoomed in to show just the new geography being learned. This map reflects the worksheet called "Now, let's trace, shade, & label!" This map is a great reference when first learning this geography. This map is located in the Teaching Resource Guide (Book 1) to be used as a reference as needed.

INCLUDED: PART 4: Tid-Bits! This is the place where you find all of the tid-bits of history, culture, geographical information, science, animals, and more, relating directly to the geography being learned! This section is located in the Teaching Resource Guide (Book 1).

NOT INCLUDED: PART 5: Worksheet - 1 per lesson: "Now, let's trace, shade, & label!" This worksheet is the first introduction to the geography being learned! A gentle way to become familiar with the geography while learning about these places through the tid-bits of information available in the teaching resource guide. This section is located within the Worksheet Book (Book 2).

NOT INCLUDED: PART 6: Worksheets - 2 per lesson: "Memorization Through Repetition" This worksheet includes the new geography PLUS geography for the last 6 lessons. A gentle way to memorize. Before you know it, the "Closer Look!" map won't be needed! This section is located within the Worksheet Book (Book 2).

Although Amanda Predmore's background was in strategic analysis of brand approach and implementation through visual communications, all changed in 2010 when she gave birth to triplets. In 2014 she began the exciting yet daunting exploration of homeschooling her three budding babies.With being a part of Classical Conversations, she fell in love with the basis of classical education and began putting materials together that she found to be lacking or merely missing from the homeschool curriculum landscape for her own family.
