While he tried to "figger it out," he cut grass, worked in factories, went to Woodstock, and became the first person to be given conscientious objector status by his draft board. He became a hippie, but never dropped out. His best friend did drop out and disappeared, forever. He spent a night in a whore house in Texas and hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.Decades later, he found he had lived a life he could never have imagined. About the Author: For over three decades Michael Timko was a senior attorney for Mastercard, specializing in governance, security, real estate, and operational matters. He was the company's go-to authority for the development, implementation, interpretation, and enforcement of its global rules. He supported Mastercard's IPO and counseled the payments industry on its migration from magnetic stripe to chip technology. Prior to working at Mastercard, Mr. Timko was an Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn, where he tried narcotics and homicide cases. His ambition in retirement is to live a creative and decent life and to spoil and be a friend to his grandchildren.
