Whisperings From FAR WEST (Paperback)

Paperback. Whisperings of Far West reveals the fascinating history of a once prominent Mormon settlement that has all but disappeared. Though the city, (the first county seat of Caldwell County, Missouri), rose and was destroyed in a very short time span, the riveting scenes that occurred there form a vital part of Mormon history and reveal much about the emotional, political, spiritual and physical struggles of an oppressed and misunderstood people, who were striving to serve their God against overwhelming odds. The historical vignettes within this book, enhanced by poems, ballads, parables and sonnets, give voice to the compelling history of those faithful Saints who lived at Far West, and provide a spiritually powerful framework for truly understanding their lives and destiny.
