See photos for condition details. Hardcover, no dust jacket. Light green cloth boards with dark green design on front and spine. Exterior is quite darkened and soiled, spine show sunning and front board has small dark spot both sides have thin creases or wrinkles present. Interior binding is good, no hinge cracks, no torn or loose pages. Pages are toned due to age and foxing is present, though mainly to the end pages. The front end page which shows the signature of Lavinia Engle along the bottom edge. Lavinia Margaret Engle (May 23, 1892 ? May 29, 1979) was an American suffragette and politician. She was a member of the Maryland House of Delegates and Montgomery County Board of Commissioners, leader of the National American Woman Suffrage Association and Maryland League of Women Voters. Her honors included the Certificate of Distinguished Citizenship from the state of Maryland, the Susan B. Anthony Medal of the League of Women Voters, and the Distinguished Service Commission. Also included in the book is a 5"x8" unsigned letter from the White House Conference On Child Health And Protection stating the book was sent " in grateful appreciation of your service to the Conference and your interest in carrying the Children's Charter to every home. - Ray Lyman Wilbur - Chairman.
