Whitsons Way: The History of Whitsons Culinary Group: A Story Rooted in Faith, Family, and Food

ELMER AND GINA WHITCOMB BOUGHT A RESTAURANT. THEIR CHILDREN TURNED IT INTO A LEGACY.

When Elmer and Gina bought the Bon-Bon in 1979, what they envisioned was a small family business that would bring their nine children together. What followed was a series of lessons that brought pain and heartache from the struggle to keep their dream alive. But what the Whitcombs found in the process was an inner resilience borne of faith and family that not only sustained them through rough times but carried them to success.

Forty-five years later, Elmer’s vision lives on through next-generation Whitcombs and an extended family of team members who embody Whitsons Way. While this story marks the history of Whitsons’ beginnings, it is far from the end—and the journey to get here was nothing short of miraculous.
