Who's Who of Cats

Warm, funny, and compulsively readable, Who's Who of Cats introduces America to the cats next door. Meet Pretty Boy Floyd of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, a real people-cat who disputes the adage that a dog is man's best friend. Tabitha of Glens Falls, New York, a bug-catching calico. And Ashes, a half-Siamese from Martinsburg, West Virginia, who's favorite pastime is to hide in closets and scare people. Plus hundreds more loopy, big-hearted, feisty cats immortalized by their owners in short biographies that have now been assembled in one heartwarming book that any cat lover is sure to love.

Adapted from the author's own Who's Who of Animals -- the pet "who's who" that's received national attention from USA Today to The New York Times -- here are America's best cat stories in a chunky, 496-page compendium.

John R. F. Breen is a pet lover from Durham, North Carolina, who one day got the funny idea of compiling a Who's Who of animals. "My family thought it was a crazy idea," he told The Denver Post, but he now works full time on the project, which is updated annually. He is the author of Who's Who of Dogs and Who's Who of Cats.
