Promotional brochure for the 1989 Apple Macintosh desktop line featuring illustrations by Matt Groening, who published School is Hell (as part of his Life in Hell series) two years earlier and whose half-hour television series The Simpsons premiered in December of that year. Square 8vo (7.375 x 7.375 ), 16 pages, printed wrappers, with drawings and photos. Groening s comics alternate pages with Apple s standard informational text: in addition to the front and rear covers, there are nine character drawings of student types, including The Stressed, The Clueless, The Schizoid, The Procrastinator, The Imperfections, The Overwhelmed, The Unemployed, and The Starving Student. The back wrapper folds out to show the five Apple desktops with specs. A scarce piece of both Apple and Groening ephemera, pre-internet. Minor bumping and rubbing to extremities.
