Why Do They Call Them Fan Conventions When the Fans Aren't Conventional? Interviews with Celebrities, Organizers and Cosplayers from the Wild, Wide World of Fan Conventions (hardback)

Fan conventions are the only places in the world where you will find celebrities being photographed with people dressed as the characters they portray, vendors selling every souvenir you can imagine and a few that make you scratch your head, artists being commissioned to draw Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock riding My Little Ponies through a sea of hellfire, and crowds of people celebrating the pop culture they love. This book explores this amazing subculture through interviews with the celebrity guests, convention organizers and cosplayers who make it all possible.
