Why Not You?: An Invitation to a Spirit-led Life, Reaching Everyone, Everywhere, Everyday

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit ... Matthew 28:19

Excuses abound for why believers do not share their faith. We are too busy, we don’t have time, or we are simply afraid, are reasons we do not preach the Gospel to our family, friends, coworkers, and strangers. Waleed Zarou seeks to remove these excuses from your life. There is no reason God cannot use you to transform lives. It is the work of the Spirit to save, but the Lord of the Harvest has called all followers of Christ to join Him in the harvest of souls that is coming.

This book begins by leading you to increase your faith. By showing what God has done, the author reveals what God can do in and through His children who will follow His voice. Waleed shares his story of hostility toward God and how God graciously transformed his murderous soul into a heart of compassion for those perishing in their sin. God shares His heart for the lost and creates a heart of compassion in His people that will change the world.

Encouraging a clear and straightforward presentation of the Good News of Jesus via sincere personal relationships releases the power of God to open blinded eyes and create hearts open to God’s grace. The author’s life is the life of an everyday evangelist who does not compartmentalize his activity as secular or sacred. Even his job is a means to share Jesus with people.

Blooming where he has been planted, Waleed demonstrates how God can use you, like He did him, to lead your neighbors and coworkers to know Jesus. With the intended goal of producing mature followers of Christ, the author encourages evangelism to be partnered with discipleship. The goal is to lead others to Christ so they may grow and be equipped to lead others to Christ.

Why Not You? is saturated in the absolute indispensability of the Holy Spirit to work through the people of God to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). The harvest of souls that is coming will not be reaped by people with good intentions but by an army of love filled with the Spirit of God following the voice of God.
