"Why?"  That is the question I have longed to answer throughout my life and it only got worse once I became a parent. My husband and I say that we find ourselves saying things we never thought we'd say once we became parents. Things like "Get out of the trash can." "You can't wear the same socks for 7 days in a row." "Don't put chicken nuggets up your nose." and "You're not supposed to do handstands during your soccer game."

I found that I'm not alone and every parent I've talked to finds themselves in the same conundrum. I have the privilege as a pediatric Occupational Therapist of shining light for parents and educators by helping them put the pieces of the puzzle together as they answer the Why? and then empower them to know what to do to help.

As a parent who walks the walk and as an Occupational Therapist, I've set out to bring hope to parents, caregivers, and educators. I'm on a mission to help each child have the sensory foundation they need for confidence and success.
