Why is Kristyn Amelia Kutter a cutter? Kristyn finds herself sitting in a red chair embarking on a journey of self-discovery. Why does her rebellious spirit and self-hate lead to episodes of depression and self-mutilation when things go wrong. Does she do it because of her best friend's suicide? Will she end up joining her? Jamey Marotto who broke her heart? The Posh Miss Perfects? Social media trolls? Drugs? Regretful one-night stands? Absentee parents? Self-hatred? Why does Kristyn continually retreat to her closet and cut as the answer to her mounting problems?

Told in a series of question-and-answer dialogue format (with italics peppered-in emphasizing the actions and thoughts of Kristyn's deepest inner-feelings because Kristyn tends to say one thing, but really mean another), Why is Kristyn A. Kutter? evolves into a relatable, emotional roller-coaster of teenage angst and drama with an unexpected ending.
