Why Schools Fumble: Applying the End Zone Mindset to School Improvement

What if schools adopted a “football faith” and religiously committed to making every learning experience a touchdown? What if every educator believed that, no matter what position s/he plays on the team, the ultimate goal is to get the ball, or the student, into the end zone? This is a great way to reimagine American schools, but it will remain in our imagination until we stop fumbling the ball. This book calls attention to our repeated fumbles in the education industry (i.e. standardized testing, misuse of data, inequity, lack of teacher readiness, etc) and gives insight on what school teams can do to solve their biggest problems. It provides strategies to help principals, teachers, and parents come together as real game changers and get more students into the academic end zone.
