The Wicked Web

In the storm-lashed port city of Homers Haven, Dondorale Malcrude leads a double life. By day, she stocks shelves at the Mighty Mammoth supercenter, cares for her two cats, and visits her tiefling daughter Marial and young grandson. By night, she is The Raven—a cambion superhero with the strength, reflexes, and web-slinging abilities of a spider, and the dangerous power to transform into a towering arachnid queen.

But Dondorale’s quiet balance is shattered when she learns of Josette, an older sister she never knew existed—a goddess of discord, locked away for eons by their mother, the retired enchantress Victoria Malcrude. Freed by their eldritch uncle, Josette leaves a trail of blood and chaos in her wake, gathering monstrous followers to finish what she started in the First Age: unraveling the very Web that holds reality together.

Pursued by cultists, assassins, and cybernetic prophets, Dondorale and her firebrand friend Trixie must venture beyond Homers Haven into the crumbling worlds of Camalore and beyond. Guided—and haunted—by the living artifact known as the Codex, Dondorale unravels the forgotten history of the Webwalkers, spider-gods who once wove destiny itself.

Her quest will lead her through the frozen temple of the Ivory Coil, the Widow’s Choir beneath Silkwind, and the cursed ruins of Arachnoth—where the Fang of the Fates waits for the one doomed to wield it. Along the way, she’ll clash with Dr. Injustice’s robo-wrestlers, Hedrix the cyber-seer, and ancient guardians who claim she is both savior and destroyer.

But the Codex is rewriting her body and her mind, awakening the Dark Queen—a second self that hungers for the throne. To save the Web and the worlds it binds, Dondorale must confront her double, embrace the monster she fears becoming, and decide whether to wear the crown… or shatter it forever.

In A Crown of Fangs and Thread, betrayal cuts deeper than blades, friendship is as fragile as silk, and the fate of the multiverse hangs on a single truth:

All that crawls may rise. But only those who choose to walk… rewrite the Web.
