This is an original, not a reproduction! Normally, we don't list books in poor condition, but this one is special. The hard, green cloth covers are both here and in very nice condition, with bright gilt trim. The spine is also bright and very artistically decorated with lettering and bird and flowers. The bottom of the spine is worn. The gilt on the page edges is also still very bright and the pages are clean, too! The only writing in the book is on the inside of the front cover and the title page, where there are inscriptions to former owner(s), one dated August 20, 1872. However, the covers are separated from the spine, and a few of the interior pages are loose. The pages are also yellowed, which you would expect with a book of this age. The b/w line drawing illustrations are precious and beautiful. Proceeds from the sale of this book benefit environmental restoration and education. Seller Inventory # 005795
