Lorraine Loria has taught young children in a variety of settings for over 30 years. After teaching in a classroom for many years, Lorraine was a literacy coach for a school district in Northern California. She taught early literacy workshops to both parents and teachers. She has worked in a variety of educational settings including the private, public and homeschooling communities. In 2013, her and Bonnie Spino began Piccolo Tales. She is the author of 5 children's books.
Bonnie graduated with a Bachelor's degree focusing on fine arts and received a Master's in Education at the University of Tennessee. After teaching art in public and private schools for many years, she began working as a studio artist. She uses a variety of mediums, letting the subject dictate her approach. She is currently focusing on illustration of children's books. With the beginning of Piccolo Tales, Bonnie has delighted in joining her watercolor abilities to the fanciful fun illustrations of the Piccolo Tales world.
