Maryrose Wampler is the premier wildflower artist in Indiana, if not the Midwest. This lavish and oversize volume contains 80 full-color views of over 300 species of wildflowers that vary from woodland to roadside to field, and from season to season. Wildflowers of Indiana is at once a celebration of nature through the eyes of a gifted artist and a collector's item for lovers of nature and fine books everywhere.
Maryrose Wampler conducts classes in painting and maintains a private studio in Bloomington, Indiana. Besides her many commissioned works, she painted the illustrations for Wildflowers of Indiana (Indiana University Press, 1988).
Fred Wampler is a retired elementary school teacher. He has devoted much of his time to assisting Maryrose in finding specimens and in writing the text for this book, as he did for Wildflowers of Indiana.
