The text is taken from "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare" (Oxford University Press, 1986). The Folio Society printed their first edition in 1997; this is the seventh reprinting with a new binding. Tragicomedies: Romeo and Juliet, The Merchant of Venice, Troilus and Cressida, Measure for Measure, Two Noble Kinsmen. Comedies: The Merry Wives of Windsor, Much Ado About Nothing, As You Like It, Twelfth Night, All s Well That Ends Well. Early Comedies: Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Taming of the Shrew, The Comedy of Errors, Love s Labour s Lost, A Midsummer Night s Dream. Classical Plays: Titus Andronicus, Julius Caesar, Timon of Athens, Antony and Cleopatra, Coriolanus. Histories I: King John, Richard II, Henry IV Part One, Henry IV Part Two, Henry V. Histories II: Henry VI, Part One, Henry VI Part Two, Henry VI Part Three, Richard III. Romances: Pericles, The Winter's Tale, Cymbeline, The Tempest, Henry VIII. Gilt lettering to spine. Burgundy endpapers. Previous owner's bookplate on the front flyleaf (removed/residue in some volumes). Pages bright, crisp, and clean. Binding strong and square. Boards and spine unblemished. The slipcases are decorated wiht gilt, and are strong/square with very little wear. . Hardcover 1/4 burgundy buckram over printed paper over boards in two slipcases Folio Society 1997 edition (first thus), seventh printing.
