Hardback. 350pp. A selection of the border tales of John Mackay Wilson first published in the mid-nineteenth century. here with an introduction by T. Henderson and full page illustrations throughout by James Thomson. Includes glossary. Loosely laid in is a selection of correspondence between the previous owner, who wrote also books about border literature, and Newcastle library regarding the details of an earlier edition of Wilson's tales. Also some type written notes on the background of Wilson. Green boards with black titles to spine. A little darkened to spine with some minor marks to boards. Very good copy.
