A beautifully illustrated edition of this essay on Winchester College. Illustrated with frontispiece and seventy-nine plates of photographs specially taken for this work. Collated complete. Winchester College was founded by William of Wykeham in 1382 for New College, Oxford, and has existed in its present location ever since. It is the oldest of the nine schools considered by the Clarendon Commission. An essay both describing the college and its cultures, as well as displaying appreciation for its contents and the people found there. Written by Christopher Hawke, an English writer. In the original brown cloth binding. Externally, sound with light shelf wear to the extremities. Joints starting but firm. Minor loss to the head and edge of the spine. Internally, firmly bound.
