The Winding Road: Navigating the Path Back to You

The Winding Road: It’s Never Too Late to Find Your Voice, Your Power, and Your Best Self

"You are going to die."

When Cherryl Thompson, at age fifty, heard those words from her doctor, it was more than a medical warning. After decades of hiding behind silence and using food as a shield, Cherryl realized her "tomorrows" had finally run out. She was standing at the edge of her own undoing, weighing the heavy cost of a lifetime of self-neglect.

The Winding Road is the intimate, vulnerable, and triumphant memoir of a woman who decided to finally stop shrinking and start rising. From childhood bullying and family trauma to a successful career in the male-dominated construction industry, she shares the raw truth of what it takes to reclaim your identity.

In this book, you will discover:

• The Power of Transformation: How Cherryl shed over 150 pounds and transitioned from a "couch potato" to a "trailblazer" who hikes the Alps and dances with "rhythm and sass.”
• Professional Empowerment: Lessons from a woman who found her voice in the rugged world of construction, proving that power is claimed.
• Healing the Inner Child: A journey through the "winding paths" of bullying, single parenting, survival, and the courage it takes to be truly seen after years of silence.
• Practical Tools: More than just a memoir, this book features Journal Prompts, 21 Days of Mindfulness, and 10 Helpful Habits to help you navigate your own personal transformation.

Whether facing a health crisis, feeling undervalued in your career, or simply wondering if it’s too late to change, The Winding Road offers a beacon of hope. It is a powerful reminder that your past does not define your future, and that the most incredible life you can imagine is still waiting for you to step into it.

It’s never too late to begin. Your winding road home back to yourself starts here.
