Earl Follis is a Technical Evangelist at Tivoli, Inc., where he specializes in applications management tools and technologies. He has also worked for 3Com Corporation as a Senior Systems Engineer and remains a principal at Zora Consulting, Inc., in Austin, Texas. Earl has also developed and taught network-related training materials for a national training firm. He has over 17 years' experience in the computer industry, with the last 8 years devoted to network consulting and teaching. Earl is a coauthor (with Ed Tittel and Mary Madden) of Windows NT® Networking For Dummies®, and he occasionally writes articles for network-related publications.
Earl and family live at Mauve Acres in the sprawling metropolis of Pflugerville, just outside Austin, Texas. He is a former gentleman sheep farmer (until the sheep got too nervous) and an avid private pilot. In his very sparse spare time, Earl is the keyboard, harmonica, accordion, and spoons player in a local rock band known as Bleu Chunks. Okay, he doesn't really play the spoons.
