About the Author:

Bob Quinn, currently with FTP Software, was a significant contributor to the version 1.1 specification, and co-administrator of the clarification group for WinSock version 2. Dave Shute, now an independent consultant, worked for FTP when Windows Sockets first appeared on the market, originally as a technical writer and eventually as the director of marketing.
