Winds of Change II

Some lives follow a road. Dennis Wesley Collier's seemed determined to find every road there was.

From a boy climbing through a basement window in Oxford, Michigan, searching for freedom, to the highways of America, the mountains of Montana, the islands of Hawaii, and the skies above them, The Winds of Change II follows an extraordinary life that rarely stood still.

There was the Army and going AWOL. Hitchhiking and sleeping wherever the road ended. Guatemala, earthquakes, and friendships that lasted more than fifty years. There was woodworking, businesses built and lost, airplanes built by hand, Judy-the love of his life-and a family that changed everything.

And there were crashes. Seven days. Seven crashes. And one that changed the direction of everything that followed.

Yet this is not simply a story about where one man went or what he accomplished. It is about the people who came along, the moments that refused to disappear, and the realization that after a lifetime of leaving, building, losing, and beginning again, some of the most important things had been traveling with him all along.

An incredible journey through freedom, friendship, love, loss, flight-and the winds that keep changing us.
