On Wings of Beating Glass (The Thrones of Judgment)

An Angel of Death. A Guardian of the Dead. A Forbidden Bond. On Wings of Beating Glass is a high-stakes romantasy that blends the celestial hierarchy of angels with the dark, gritty lore of Egyptian mythology.

When souls begin disappearing before judgment, the balance between realms starts to crack.

Nephra is one of Anubis’s most feared Guardians, charged with hunting the lost souls who flee the Duat before they can face their fate. Loyal, lethal, and already walking a knife’s edge beneath her god’s command, she has no patience for angels, least of all the arrogant stranger who crashes into her city with shimmering wings and a dangerous amount of power.

Azrael is a Clearwing, the highest rank of angel and Heaven’s Keeper of Souls. Sent by his God to deliver a warning to Anubis, he expects resistance. He does not expect Nephra, a sharp-tongued Guardian who meets his authority with a blade to the throat and a challenge in her eyes.

Forced into an uneasy alliance, Nephra and Azrael are drawn into a hunt for the missing souls and the dark force rising behind them. But the deeper they descend into the mystery, the more dangerous the truth becomes.
