Brad Perry learned about stocks from the ground up. After Harvard College and Harvard Business School, he spent eight years as a stock analyst for Boston-based Loomis, Sayles & Co., followed by 32 years at Boston's David L. Babson & Company where he moved from stock analyst to director of research to portfolio manager to president to chairman. When Perry retired in 1992, he became a consultant to Babson and several other investment organizations, while continuing to write widely-distributed articles on investing and to speak before investment groups.
