Brault and Seaman s pretense is simple, Seaman states, We ask every athlete and coach this question. In competition, how much of the outcome is attributed to physical skill and how much is mental? The answer ranges from 50/50 to 80% mental and 20% physical. We then ask them, as we now ask you, what do you do to train your psychological side? 99% of the time they stare at us, searching for an answer. This is the answer! About the Author
Much of what Kevin Seaman and Jim Brault, learned or developed came as a result of their own drive to achieve.
Seaman has been a Martial Arts instructor and athletic trainer for over three decades. As a former World Champion in Full Contact Martial Arts, he competed in the Orient and currently holds eight Black Belts in different martial arts disciplines. Seaman has been on the teaching staff at Cornell University for 12 years, where he currently teaches The Winning Mind Set Strategies to the students, athletes and staff as a credit course in the Physical Education Department.
Brault is a Director of Human Resources and Senior Vice-President for Eastman Kodak, a former associate of peak performance coach Anthony Robbins, and a competitive Powerlifter. Brault also holds a Bachelor s Degree in Psychology from Binghamton University, and a Masters Degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
