THIS IS THE INSIDE STORY OF WHAT IT TAKES TO BE THE BEST, SHARING OLYMPIC-WINNING STRATEGIES FOR PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL SUCCESS TO USE IN YOUR OWN LIFE AND WORK.
In WINNING TOGETHER, Helen and Kate Richardson-Walsh, part of the GB Women's Hockey team who won Olympic gold in Rio in 2016, show how to create a winning culture in any environment, in any industry, so that you, and your team, can thrive.
Helen and Kate tell all in this book as they travel with you through the nineties, noughties all the way up to today, recalling stories and insights from behind the scenes of their world-beating Olympics. Covering psychology, personal purpose, team purpose, self-awareness, leadership, pressure, mind power and much more, WINNING TOGETHER gives you the tools to be the very best version of yourself.
Through their vast experiences, Helen and Kate guide you through exercises to improve performance, emphasising how buy-in to group-formed behaviours can be the daily catalyst to positive momentum at work and in your daily life. They each tell their own side of the story while reflecting on things they have also experienced as a couple. This is a book unlike any other, truly unique.
Along the way you'll discover what it takes to cope with working and training as an international athlete, if the team really had to sew Velcro onto their kit the night before a game to stop their skirts from riding up, and whether that flight home from Rio was crazy as it looked in the newspapers the next day.
