Carolina Esses is a poet, novelist, and literary critic living in Buenos Aires, where she was born in 1974. Her poetry collections include Versiones del paraíso (Ediciones del Dock, 2017) and Temporada de invierno (Bajo la luna, 2009), which was shortlisted for the Olga Orozco Prize. Her poems have been featured in numerous anthologies and translated into French in Poésie Récente d'Argentine: une Anthologie possible (Reflet d'Lettres, 2013). She is also the author of two novels, La melancolía de los perros (Bajo la luna, 2020) and Un buen judío (Bajo la luna, 2016). Additionally, she has published several books for children. As a literary critic, she contributes to La Nación newspaper. For fifteen years, she has worked for the Buenos Aires Public Libraries, where she leads creative writing workshops.
Allison A. deFreese is a translator and poet living in Portland, Oregon. She has translated works by María Negroni, Carmen Iriondo, Karal Marrufo, Luis Chitarroni, Amado Nervo, Ovsaldo Bossi, and other Latin American poets and writers. A National Endowment for the Arts Literature Translation Fellow, Allison is conference chair for the Oregon Society of Translators and Interpreters and teaches in the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley's virtual Master of Arts in Spanish Translation and Interpreting Program.

Virginia Gauna Torres is a photographer and painter living in Buenos Aires, where she was born in 1970. After obtaining a degree in architecture from the University of Buenos Aires, she shifted her focus to art and photography, with a particular interest in abstraction in nature and architecture. She studied photography at Inés Miguens's Photo School and continued her training at Diego Ortiz Mugica's School of Photography. Her photographs have been featured in several group exhibitions, most recently at Galería Virtual Contempor´nea, Buenos Aires, and Cocrear Fotografía, Galería del Infinito, Buenos Aires. Her previous publications include Entrelíneas and Ausencia (2020), as well as Naturaleza Mínima, a project curated by Laura Casanovas (2021).
